Podcasts

Publishing your poems to Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other podcast apps.

What it does

Turn on your podcast and your approved poems become episodes of your own show, which listeners can follow in Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other podcast apps. Your poems also appear in the Sapitwa Poetry podcast.

New poems are added to your show automatically once they are approved. You do not need to upload anything twice.

Turning it on

  1. Sign in and open Settings, then Podcast.
  2. Switch on “Publish my poems as a podcast” and save.
  3. Your podcast feed (RSS) link appears. Copy it if you want to submit your show yourself.

Which poems become episodes

  1. Approved poems with an MP3, M4A or AAC recording.
  2. Recordings in WAV, OGG, WebM or FLAC are left out, because podcast apps do not accept them. The Podcast settings page tells you how many of your poems this affects.
  3. Each episode includes your notes, the words of the poem and its artwork. Synced lines are included as captions.

Getting listed on Spotify and Apple Podcasts

The Sapitwa team submits new shows to Spotify and Apple Podcasts. You can also submit your feed yourself in Spotify for Creators or Apple Podcasts Connect.

Once your show is live, paste its Spotify and Apple Podcasts links into your Podcast settings. Listeners can then find your show from your poet page.

Turning it off

You can switch your podcast off at any time in Settings. Your feed stops listing your poems, and podcast apps remove them the next time they check for updates.
