Information we collect

• Account details you give us: your name, display name, username, email address, phone number, gender, bio, profile photo and preferred language.
• Content you upload: poems, audio recordings, synced lyrics, collections and claims.
• Listening activity: which poems are played, for how long, and from where on the site, together with your account (if signed in), IP address and browser type.
• Analytics: if you accept cookies, Google Analytics records how visitors use the site. If you decline, analytics cookies are not set.

How we use it

• To run your account, keep your Library and play your poems.
• To review poems and claims before they are published.
• To show poets the plays and listeners for their own poems.
• To publish podcast feeds for poets who choose to turn them on.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

What is public

Your display name, username, bio, profile photo, approved poems and featured collections are visible to anyone. Your email address and phone number are never shown on public pages.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Sapitwa (such as hosting, email delivery and analytics), when you choose to publish a podcast feed, or when the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies needed to keep you signed in, remember your language and protect forms. Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account is open. You can request deletion of your account from Settings; after review the account is removed from the site. Some records may be kept where the law requires it or to resolve disputes.

Children

Sapitwa is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
